NHL 17 on the Rise and NHL16 Playoffs!
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on October 8, 2016 at 03:48 PM
Well, we have started designing NHL17 for the PS4 and PS4 only, so don't ask about xBox versions please. SKA was the first beta team created and a few demo games have been uploaded to our youtube channel for your viewing pleasure. Check em out, it's awesome!

On a side note to that, it's come to my attention that custom rosters cannot be exported in NHL 17 (that is just fuckin crap). Thanks for fuckin blowing that one EA. So... we will be updating NHL Legacy Rosters from our NHL16 set to replicate NHl17 for those dying to have updated rosters. However, that's wayyy down the road folks. We have NHL 16 season to finish up with first.

Speaking of NHL16. We are really close to the playoffs now. Currently at game 70 and the playoffs start just after game 82.

So stay tuned to EAKHL youtube!

Beta Rosters In Testing!

OK, as most of you probably already know we have started our KHL16 3rd season on youtube. We are close to 20 games in already and few problems have popped up. For simply playing vs games, everything is perfect. However lots of small edits and a few season problems have to be ironed out before I release this file to the general public. After all the testing and corrections are done, it will be posted under our downloads page. Till then, enjoy the games on our youtube channel!

Editing Issues - Progress Halted!

So, some bad news for everyone. After finalizing all 30 teams, we began the process of "nick naming" teams as always, however in NHL Legacy there is a bug in the programming that prevents 90% of the nicknames from being used. If your confused, those are the names that the announcers use in game. IE: CSKA has always been the "Rockstars". However, that is no longer possible as choosing that option forces the game to choose "undefined" as an error code and removes the teams name and then it choose a random one that is ALWAYS inappropriate.

For example; It names CSKA Anaheim Ducks etc. After that happens, the name can no longer be changed in game and to correct that you have to literally make the team over again. So we are spending a few days locating and choosing new nick names for most of our teams from the 10% that do work.

Anyway, please note that. Former KHL 13 users will just have to get used to new names. New users won't even notice Wink

SUBNOTE: If anyone reading this can convert NHL Legacy Roster files from PS3 to XBOX-360, please contact me via the forum and I will send you the final roster build to convert for the many fans that have patiently waited for this.

Huge thanks to Artem for helping me out. Couldn't do the KHL league without you bro. Cheers!

Posted by Cole on November 15, 2015 at 04:26 PM
Well, we are on week 16 of our official KHL fantasy hockey season. Games are getting harder and harder and voting is now over for choosing the "fan" based team that I'll play for the run to the cup! I will be using ONLY team Dinamo Riga from Week 17 on and will upload each game of the week from Riga vantage point. I will simulate the other games they play during each week up until we get into the last month of games (which is April). At that point I will be posting PiP games of all remaining games and into the playoffs if the season is successful. So watch our Youtube channel for full games.

Also, our new roster file for KHL Legacy has begun. I will post a first full beta game soon on our channel between two of the more popular teams. This file will not be ready for probably over a year. So watch, post comments and let us know what you think.

Half way through our second KHL conference now and we are testing the playing waters a ton! We've already had some epic games. The new league and new stating system we are using are turning out great.

Some notes about KHL15.

-All players overall ratings land between 65-90. No players are worse or better to maintain some level of balance throughout the league.

-All teams have a minimum of 13 forwards, 7 d-men and 2 goalies. Some have more however.

-All goalies are being designed to represent their real life counter-parts as closely as possible when concerning equipment. Other then that, they are designed to stop pucks, not really replicate playing style.

-Teams in the real KHL that are terrible or low skilled teams are just that in our game. Teams with high skill, energy or speed are also designed to be just that. Thanks to a universal (non-bias) stating system the teams are represented very well and will play in game as they do in the KHL (at least for the most part).

Full 28 Team Roster File Done!

Posted by Cole on January 14, 2015 at 09:58 AM
So far, so good! We have finished up the full placement of our 28 team roster file for our next version of the KHL. All teams have at least 13 forwards, 2 goalies and 7 d-men. Beta testing has started and stats are being applied on a per-team basis. That's 588 new guys in game, so please be patient as this is a massive effort on my part as I'm the only editor for the project. Beta testing in game is being done by Mike Evans, Kirk Beard and myself. As teams are tested and fully completed we will add them to their unique pages above on our drop down menus.

We will be completing teams based on our user poll and their popularity. Dinamo Riga is a clear winner thus far. So we'll work on them first and follow accordingly.

KHL 15 - Is is Possible?

Yes, it is! Well sort of. With recent developments in PS3 decryption tools we have discovered how to expand our KHL league into it's full glory. Soon we will have a full 28 team league, with ALL players included and all updated to 2014-2015 stats, rosters.

We also have the ability to create all 28 stadiums (1 for each team), with accurate attendance/fans in the seats. We also gained the ability to make all 28 teams play on international ice instead of NHL ice. Fantastic!

More to come! So stay tuned Wink

NHL 14 Duh!

Well, we were planning to roll on out our new rosters for EAKHL this season, but as suspected, EA Sports did 0 to help us out with the custom editors, hell not even an import or convert option for us to work with. So, sorry, no NHL 14 Rosters for anyone. We'll just have to use NHL 13 or wait for NHL 15 on PS4 (which may not improve either). We'll just have to wait and see. Till next season.

Posted our beta roster file that we used for our first season, plus a few tweaks and the new teams added. Please note! This roster file is CRAP if you wish to play other leagues. use this roster file ONLY for custom KHL leagues.

To use;
download, open archive and place the "SAVE DATA" folder onto a memory stick, then insert into PS3 and import the roster file onto your system.

Then start up NHL13 and go to customize and load new roster file and you'll find it on the list Wink

Did your team make it? The team I was routing for sure didn't. Sad Either way... the finals are here and the match up should be fantastic!

Avangard VS Atlant, the first place team meets the 3rd place team from the regular season. The speed /skill team vs the grinding / dump and chase team.

On a creative note;

We have Avangard who I have pretty much done to spec. They are fast, aggressive and have one of the best goalies in the game. Frolov is on a hot streak and Popov is a demon on the ice.

The piecemeal team who consists of rogue KHLers, OHLers, WHLers and a few of their actual players. How did this team manage to get first overall and now to the finals? Beats me.... they simply play as a team and never seem to get down on their game. If they they lose a game by 3 or 4 goals, they come back EVERY TIME with a huge next game and almost always win.

We'll be uploading ALL games for the final series... right to the CUP! So stay tuned to our you tube channel. Big Grin

Hell, in this first round Riga and Traktor are in an epic struggle. I'll be posting the AI vs AI games on you tube soon! Keep checking back for this great NHL13 action.

I should also note that all of the regular season stats have been finalized. I'll create a separate page for records ASAP and post the final playoffs stats shortly after.

We've also upgraded this site quite a bit for a more professional feel and look. Hope everyone who has found this site is liking it. Once the playoffs are over, we'll finalize our roster file and post it for all to enjoy.

Someone also emailed me about posting "RECORDS" for the official league so that other user can compare / attempt to break etc. That's a great idea! I'll add a record page to this site as soon as the playoffs are over and we have a Gagarin Cup Winner.

44 Games In (The playoffs are looming!)

Posted by Cole on March 11, 2013 at 07:00 PM
Hey all. I haven't posted stats for awhile now and we've been playing games like crazy. I just posted the "Game of the Week" on youtube (Avangard vs Traktor).

Below we've posted the full array of stats again up to this 44th game for all teams. Very exciting to see SKA finally get going and I was starting to wonder how this stacked team could possibly miss the playoffs. Also a fan fav Riga is on fire! They are marching up the standings fast. On the other hand Dinamo Minsk is in a free fall and looks like they are gonna miss the playoffs as CSKA and UFA are hot on their heels and getting their games back. Lev Praha is a bust... it would take a miracle for them now.

SPECIAL NOTE: Once the playoffs begin, the AI takes over, I play no games. I'll set up all the games to be AI vs AI and no quick sims. I'll record ALL elimination games and post them on youtube for every to watch who's interested. We'll do them all in "True Broadcast" viewing mode as well.

Talk to yeah soon and good luck to the fan favorites! Please sign up for our forums or subscribe to our youtube / facebook page for all the playoff results and more!

20 Teams - OHL Conversion!
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on March 11, 2013 at 09:15 AM
Well, we are pretty much done our roster set now. Just a few more faces to do and a small amount of uniform details/improvements and we'll call it done.

There are allot more things to do to the roster file specifically, like update ALL of the NHL/AHL team rosters as we play those to, but for now, we are just going to release the rosters for those wanting to play the KHL specifically.

We have put together 20 teams. 14 fully (if not 99%) completed teams, 2 piecemeal teams (Severstal and Moscow Dynamo) and 4 proposed teams that the KHL has invited to play in the leagues future seasons. This is the ONLY way we can squeeze out 20 teams for a convertible OHL season.

What does that mean you ask? Well, with 20 teams you can start and OHL season and swap out all 20 OHL teams for our KHL teams. This is how we are going to do it for our official season 2. This is the only way to have and EAST/WEST conference and divisions. It is also the only way to have a 16 team final (post season). It also allows the user to see the pre-game intros instead of the Anthem scenes.

We'll make a full video on how to set this all up once we complete the roster and upload it for everyone to use.

Stay tuned!

Severstal and More!
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on March 6, 2013 at 03:52 PM
Done! We decided to finish up Atlant with our remaining slots and thus we ended up making Severstal the piecemeal team. We've posted Severstal's team online now, but remember this team ONLY has their star player captain, their goalies and the players highlighted in green (pre-mades), the rest can't be made until EA removes the custom player cap limit in the game. Until that point, Severstal has all the fill in players that Atlant used to for the next season.

Congrats to Mike Evans for playing and winning his first KHL game using Slovan Bratislava and defeating team Atlant 1-0. It was great to watch another one of my close friends play in this custom league and have a hard fought win.

Game of the week is next!

New Team Possibilities!
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on March 4, 2013 at 10:59 AM
Hey all, hope everyone reading this has a great weekend.

When I finally got off work I found a little time to search over the leagues one last time looking for any pre-made players that could fill in and free up a slot for a custom player. We found 3 more after 4 hours of searching. I'm pretty sure that's it, that's all folks until EA fixes this hard cap issue.

We have a total of 9 free skater slots left and we're going to make a decision really soon on what to do with them. We could either finish up Atlant with their correct roster players or make another piecemeal team with them and that would have to be (Severstal Cherepovets) as they have 3 pre-made players on their roster already.

We also made one more skater for Donbass which is mostly complete now. Made a few corrections on other team rosters and noticed a few mistakes for goalie EQ that were missed after our HD-crash.

More news and vids coming soon!

Found More Pre-Mades!
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on February 28, 2013 at 12:24 AM
Yup, this is fairly good news for us. We missed a team that didn't forfeit their extra roster guys and found a few more pre made guys in the SIM-Liga today. That gives us 8 more guys to work with now. We added 3 more to team Donbass, 1 more to Atlant and conserving the others until we decide what's best to do with them.

We are now 12 games deep into the first season and we have some dandy games to post on you tube real soon. Some REAL heart breakers and some HUGE victories...

So stay tuned!

First 7 Games Stats Posted!

Posted by Cole on February 24, 2013 at 11:24 PM
Yep, we are now 7 games deep into our first season for all 14 teams. Atlant leads the way.

M. Yakutsenya of Tracktor is the player of the week with 9 points, +6 plus/minus and 25 pims.

As stated, I personally don't want to effect the standings / stats so I'm playing 2 games for each team every 8 games. The rest are simulated and some will be recorded and put on you tube for viewing.

Remember folks, this fantasy league is for fun. The website is very new and I've yet to see some comments on our new forums. Please take the time to vote and to say hi and show some support for this project and we'll do our best to bring you great products.

Done! Final touches are in the book. Season 1 has begun and the games are under way. Choose your fav team and route them on in our fantasy KHL league.

All games are simulated with the exception of human played teams that are selected weekly in order. At seasons end, each team in the league will have an equal amount of human played games to equal 1/4. This equals out the odds for those who might think the human's always win.

We'll post the human odds in (brackets) in our scrolling ticker above.

Should be a blast... prerecorded HD games will also be posted on our you tube channel and our roster file will be available for download at the end of our first season.

Hockey Gods Hate the KHL
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on February 23, 2013 at 11:37 AM
Spent the last 2 days rebuilding teams, jerseys, custom goalie Eq etc as my PS3's hard drive died and I lost almost the entire league. 175 guys and 28 goalies, plus all the custom work down the drain. CAN YOU SAY ANGRY!!!!!

Anyway, two days later I've calmed down again and the final touches are here on the day. It might have been fate, but I somehow managed to squeeze out 10 more guys for team Riga, Donbass and Slovan to share. Team Riga is almost 95% true team now. Slovan is also close and Donbass has at least 50% real roster players (rest are national players).

The last team was once again completed last night and that was Atlant. They also have about 50% real roster players and the rest are from various other KHL teams that didn't make it into our league due to EA's restrictions. Hopefully that will be fixed soon, but I doubt it.

Today, we are just finishing up minor details, importing all the custom music again and firing up a test league. Once everything is 100%, we'll begin EAKHL's very first live online league. Which will include more vids, stats, game results streamed... etc.

Stay tuned!

Final Team Completed!
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on February 20, 2013 at 07:19 PM
The final team has been completed. Atlant Moscow Region is our final team of the 14 we could make. We've left only the 14 teams in our league at the top of this website for viewing and the remaining have been moved to the footer of this website until further notice or until NHL14 comes out and screws us over again. Can you feel the hate EA?

The 14 teams we selected have no real rhyme of reason behind them being choose. Pretty much random with the exception of the last few teams being selected based on how many existing players EA had in the game. Without those teams being selected we would have been stuck at 13 teams.

Anyway, more to come soon!

Final Results
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on February 19, 2013 at 09:39 PM
Yup, the results are in. We are going to end up with a 14 team league in NHL13 that replaces the Czech Extraliga league. All of our custom teams will be slotted into this league as it also has a 52 game season like the KHL. This league can be customized for 3 point games and 1 point for OT losses. It is also an international ice surface that allot of folks want.

We'll do a test run soon and post the settings here on EAKHL.com for everyone to look over and see how things are going to work. It's actually pretty good considering we are stuck at 14 teams.

We could have 16 if we included NHLers that played in the KHL during the lockout, but we want to see how this plays out first. So stay tuned!

3 More Teams Maybe
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on February 17, 2013 at 11:27 AM
Well, it doesn't look like we are going to get any help from anyone with these issue. So the best we can do is go back in time a few months and place ALL of the NHL players (to keep it fair) that were in the KHL during the lockout in our league. We've made that complete list here;

That gives us almost 40 more players + the 16 or so we cut from the original rosters (ones that were replacement players for injuries) and we have 56+ more players in this league.

For those of you who don't code or haven't experimented with the create a team feature in NHL13, that will give us around 3 more complete teams.

So with 9 fully finished teams, Riga near complete and Slovan near completion, we can simply sub out a minor amount of players on those 2 teams to complete them and then redo the rosters with the NHL guys in and we will come out with 14 teams in total.

Can we make more somehow? Well, we can make Donbass, but they will only have a few of there official roster players (I think 4) and stuff in their national team players and we have 15 teams. But the rest.... well that's up to EA now or someone that can make the miracle program that will allow me to edit PS3 NHL 13 rosters.

So we wait! Until then, I'll work on these 15 teams, get them all posted and start our first simulated season for fun Happy

The Luck of the Hockey Gods (EA SUCKS!)
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on February 14, 2013 at 07:33 PM
Well, this project has come to a rather nasty halt. Unfortunately EA Sports has a hard coded cap in the custom create feature of the game that will not allow anyone to create more then 175 custom players and thus we cannot complete this league until that is removed. In my experience (1993 and on) that never happens. I highly doubt EA will correct this flaw or for that matter will even respond to my emails or posts about this issue.

However, on a good note, this has forced me to thumb through the entire game making a complete search of ALL available roster players that EA may or may not have created. Yes, some of the KHL players are in-game and I can edit them to change their stats accordingly. I've already managed to locate around 50 players, but that's a far cry from the 450+ I need. Some teams will just have to sacrifice their official rosters (namely team riga, team slovan etc) to allow the remaining created players slots I have to become Russians.

Now how did I accomplish that? YUP, had to axe every resource that I already created in NHL13. Meaning all the teams have minimum rosters now (18 players and 2 goalies) max. We have updated our pages to show which players are still on the team and which players are axed until this gets fixed (if ever). The other players highlighted in dark-grey are players that will never make the roster as max rosters are 23.

So I'll do my best and post teams as we get em done. Hopefully we can get at least 16 teams to fill a custom tourney.

On another note; we are currently uploading our first HD full gaming video to youtube. It's in Low res, but it's High-Def. These videos are being published to promote this site and showcase this custom league's in depth detail.

Next team in the game will be "Dinamo Riga".

Posted by Cole on February 10, 2013 at 03:22 PM
Finished up the beta intro for our future game uploads today, however converting the High Def games we've recorded is turning out to be a huge hassle. So far we've managed to convert one full game to SD for upload to you tube, which is quite good quality compared to what's on there now, but there's nothing like HD right Wink

Once we find a way to record in HD without losing to much quality during the conversion and keeping the filze sizes to something under 4 gigs... we'll fire up some FULL games on YouTube in full HD with intro etc.

At this point we'll be able to go over some AI changes, show full details on goalies, players, horns and much more!

Welcome to the grand opening of EAKHL.com!
Category: Default
Posted by Cole on February 3, 2013 at 06:07 PM
This site is dedicated to an offline fantasy KHL league designed for use in NHL13 (created by ea sports). We are proud to share this daunting, yet amazing new league with all hockey gaming fans alike. Here at EAKHL.com we have been working hard to put something online that others might find extremely fun to participate in, contribute to, or use however they like. We will be sharing all sorts of useful downloads for NHL13, as we have come across many that add allot of flavor to the game. But first off, lets tell a little about us and what we've accomplished so far...

NHL13 itself doesn't include the KHL within the game, so we took on the challenge of designing the league ourselves. We will eventually include all 26 teams from the KHL directly in the game. Almost all players have been custom made, from scratch, using EA's in game editor. Unlike EA, we took the time to craft individuals. Our players are designed by using their real-life stats. We use a simple, yet effective algorithm to calculate some of their most important stats and leave the rest to random design. We choose custom sticks, custom skates, custom blades etc and even tried to choose faces that best matched their real-life counterparts. YES! Your right, that is a crap load of work. But it has outstanding results.

All teams have their KHL jerseys (home and away) designed to our best ability, limited only by EA's options and non-ability to upload custom logos. However, we didn't let that stop us. With some creative intuition and allot of motivation, we came up with some great looking replicas. All teams designed will also have custom names assigned as EA's editor doesn't allow for custom cities or rink names to be applied, but we'll do our best to choose the most appropriate logo's/names.

Other then the above, we'll continue to work on this league, add content to this site and promote the gaming world with hockey goodness. Enjoy the site!
